Community Pages : Local conservation

Living in our picturesque countryside we have plenty of conservation opportunities around us. As Aylesbury grows many of us may think of ourselves as 'town people' rather than 'county folk'. However the beautiful Chiltern Hills and suroundings of Aylebsury Vale are only a short distance outside our town. This also includes things we may not see as often such as our arm of the Grand Union Canal, or different historical buildings.

Conservation should not be thought of as a 'hobby or interest' for people of a certain age who don't mind being seen out in old clothes and wellington boots. It is up to all of us to look after and preserve our natural environment so our children and grand children can benefit from it's beauty and natural diversity.

There are many organisation's that are involved in conservation in Buckinghamshire. AY Online wish to list some of them here. Please contact us to add your organisation to the details below or to add information to your listing.

We've assembled a list of web site resources below, that we think you'll find useful.
