We have Stoke Mandeville Hospital, the Royal Bucks Hospital and the Florence Nightingale Hospice. This is well known in the area, the NHS hospital guide lists Stoke Mandeville hospital as follows,"Stoke Mandeville Hospital is an acute hospital located on the edge of the market town of Aylesbury. It provides a range of acute hospital services including 24 hour Accident and Emergency, Critical Care, General Medicine, General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and Women’s and Children’s Services. The hospital is the base for Ophthalmology for the area. The Burns and Plastics Services covers a population of over 1.5m - stretching north to Northampton and west towards Reading. The site also hosts the National Spinal Injuries Centre, which serves a population of 14m."
Did you know, The Royal Bucks hospital used to be the main hospital in Aylesbury until it was superceded by Stoke Mandeville Hospital. In the early 1990's it was refurbished and opened as a private hospital.

Their web site says "At Florence Nightingale House we care for patients with active, progressive and advanced illness for whom the focus of care is quality of life. The hospice aims to bring relief from pain and other distressing symptoms as part of a specialist palliative care service. This care centres around the individual and those closest to them, providing a comprehensive pattern of physical, social, psychological and spiritual support at times when it is needed most."
